@Dominic: The code here is little outdated, so it wont be possible for me to provide you with the code. The original article was written on 28th Feb.

Maybe I'll post some new experiment on the same subject, and will make code available this time.

This is just the article I was looking for.
Making the source and files available for download would be the icing on the cake.

Adobe AIR has certainly struck a chord with me as a way to quickly write cross platform apps in a language that I am familiar with.

Actually this is the simplest example and first "Hello World" type application..
Plus, I dont think there's a need of CakePHP API in this yet, you can just trigger the URL's with AJAX like I did..

$.get("http://localhost/StockBack/users/login/"+user+"/"+pass);
and return session_key or some other token for information exchange.

Hi,

I just came to your site from digg,
because I was looking for someone
had already blogged about
Cakephp + Adobe AIR + JQuery.

I was thinking if you could explain more
about making a sample CakePHP API where
your Adobe AIR connects to it and displays
visual data fetched from the API? (SOAP, XML perhaps?)

code-markup.php is a great plugin that removes the formatting when posting code. You still have to use the pre and code tags, but it preserves the bracketing.
